Math Team
The OAHS Math Team meets monthly to compete against other schools across the U.S. in a series of math tests administered throughout the year, culminating with an awards ceremony in the spring. Interested students should see Ms. Porter for additional information.
AP Calculus
More than 50 students took Advanced Placement Calculus during the 2008-2009 school year. Including both the AB and BC levels enhances the department's course offerings, providing students with a broad spectrum of mathematical courses to challenge them throughout their high school careers along with the opportunity to earn college math credit.
SAT In A Flash
SAT In A Flash will be offered this fall to prepare Oliver Ames seniors for the November 7, 2009 SAT. The course begins with a complete, graded SAT pre-test, and offers 5 weeks of focused instruction in both verbal and math strategies. Classes meet once a week, 2 hours per session. To reserve a seat, download a registration form from www.oliverames.org or have your child pick up a form in the office. Space is limited and will be filled on a first come basis. Please contact Mrs. Romans with any questions.

The SAT will be held on October 10, November 7, and December 5. Please check the College Board website at www.collegeboard.com for details on locations and registration.
ATHLETCS DEPARTMENT
Welcome Back to Oliver Ames Athletics
It looks to be another exciting fall sports season. We are the defending Hockomock League champs in girls soccer. The team will again be coached by Britt Sellmayer.
In boys soccer we would like to welcome Jon Barata as the new varsity boys soccer coach. We are looking forward to Coach Barata's leadership with the boy's program
Both the boys and girls Cross Country team will again challenge on the State Level in Cross Country action.The team is Coached by Neil Levine.
Girls Field Hockey qualified for the for the State Tournament last year and returns many talented seniors, we are looking for good things to happen. The team is Coached by Janice Sundell.
Varsity football is looking to compete in the always competitive Hockomock League. Head Coach Jim Artz is lookig forward to many underclassmen fighting for starting positions.
Varsity Football cheerleading has a new coach , Nicole Linfield, welcome Nicole.
Boys golf will again contend for the Hockomock League Championship. The team plays out of Pine Oaks Golf Course.
