Dining Services Dear Parents and Guardians of Oliver Ames students, Today's school lunch program is so different than the days when you and I attended public school.Your children are offered a wide variety of choices on a daily basis to encourage them to meet the proper nutritional needs a growing teenager requires each day. Studies have shown that a proper diet, coupled with the right foods will enable your child to be alert and perform better throughout the school day. We strive to serve your child the foods they desire, while meeting the guidelines for proper nutrition. We are also here to offer information to parents and students on subjects such as food, allergies, proper nutrition and the state and local policies each district must follow. I encourage communication between my office and the students. I have set up a food advisory committee through the Principal's office. We will begin meeting in October. These meetings will be informal but are very important to me. They help me keep the food service program going in a positive direction for the students. My office is located in the Oliver Ames High School kitchen. I am available Monday through Friday from 6:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
