Art DepartmentThe objective of all art classes is to give the student a broad understanding of art. The student will work with a variety of media to creatively produce esthetically pleasing works of art within his/her capabilities. Art history is taught at all levels so that the student acquires an intellectual basis as to what constitutes a work of art and the effects art has had on society throughout history up to the present day. The student is taught to understand the influence art has had in his or her everyday life.
